About Joanne
Joanne works with a range of partners to develop access to arts and cultural opportunities for all of its residents and visitors. These include The 'Artery' Arts and Health Initiative; The Ripley 'Timelines' Public Art Trail; The Emerge Festival of Music Dance and Diversity; The 'Live and Local' Touring Scheme; The 'Turn It Up' Youth Music Scheme and the Playmates Workshop scheme.
About Amber Valley's arts scene
Belper Music Festival takes place over a weekend in June or
July. It features a host of musicians and bands from around the UK, as well as stalls, children's
entertainment, workshops and much more.
The Emerge Festival of Music Dance and Diversity takes place at Shipley Country Park each year and Crich Tramway Museum hosts the Crich Tramway Village Folk Festival, a two day long festival of folk music.
Also in the village of Crich is Crich Stand that is visible across many of the surrounding Counties and which commemorates fallen Sherwood Foresters; and the village of Crich and the Amber Valley area were the setting for the ITV series, Peak Practice.
