Introduction

Bakewell Arts and Design is a new creative collective offering both private and communal studios, a variety of display space and the intention to host shows and
events.

A variety of artists and designers with an exciting mix of creative practices will be at work in Bakewell Arts and Design, offering a rare opportunity for the public to see the artist and their work in the same place.

Our focus is on providing space not just to work and produce in but to cultivate and build business relationships and success.

Location

The location and style of buildings provided are perfect spaces for Bakewell Arts and Design, having easy vehicular and pedestrian access and in a visible position where visitors to Bakewell and local people pass on a regular basis.

The central location also means that the building is both accessible and noticeable from a public perspective.

Description

Converted from the original saw mi11 the buildings have wooden floors and a combination of timber and glass which provide a light and spacious setting spread over three floors. There is also a range of communal facilities within the buildings.

This interesting and historic building provides great work spaces and a variety of exhibition space. We wish to attract a mix of companies in the art and design sectors from a variety of complementary disciplines. Our aim is to provide a showcase of creative practices and products from the peak district and surrounding counties as well as selected examples from further afield.
