Clothworkers Foundation

The Clothworkers’ Foundation welcomes applications for the following two grants programmes:

Main Grants Programme: open to UK registered charities with an annual turnover of under £10m. Grants of over £1,000 for capital costs.
Small Grants Programme: open to UK registered charities with an annual turnover under £250,000. Grants of between £500 and £10,000 for capital costs.

Applications to either programme must fall under one of the following areas:

• Encouragement of Young People (preference will be given to organisations working with economically disadvantaged youth in deprived areas);
• Social Inclusion (support for organisations which seek to tackle such problems as substance abuse, homelessness, offending and family breakdown);
• Elderly (priority will be given to projects focusing on those in need or at risk of social exclusion);
• Disability (support for organisations tackling the needs of the physically and/or mentally disabled);
• Visual impairment (support for organisations addressing the needs of blind or visually impaired people);
• Textiles (UK academic institutions involved in textiles, technical textiles and colour science).
